I was born in the city at St Bartholemews hospital in1960, and grew up in the suburbs. London has always been a place that I feel drawn to - as a child and as an adult its energy is constant. My father was an architect who worked in the city for YRM and feel it is a place very much full of his memory for me.
I used to frequent the southbank concert halls when I was a student, it seemed like the centre of a cultural world. It was bright neon, glass and concrete. Attending contemporary music events seemed that I was in a world of modernity.
These work were made over NewYear 06 on the South Bank. Just breif glimpses of a long overdue subject.
The light and river, this thread of nature through a city both so alive.
