Las Alpujarras is a valley south of the Sierra Nevada, Andalucia. It is steep sided and lush, with fresh water running of the mountains.
The moors irrigated and terraced the landscape. Everywhere something is growing that you can eat and the sound of fresh water running through culverts fills the cool air. Small white moorish houses cling to the steep hillsides.
It rained for most of the time and I was bed ridden with flu - or maybe I just dreamed the place.
